Our Leadership Team

Matt Pichette

Matt Pichette

President

Matt is a second-generation owner of Russco, started by his father. With his brother, Russ, Matt grew up around the business, learning trade skills, managing relationships, and leading teams through first-hand experience. He formally joined the company in 1987 and has vast experience in various roles such as carpenter, laborer, superintendent, project management, and executive leadership, ultimately leading the Company’s daily operations. Matt is a Fall River, MA, native and holds a degree in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts –Dartmouth and holds Russco’s licenses and is RME for all States in which the Company does business. In his spare time, he enjoys flying as a licensed pilot and spending time with his wife and children.

Dina Pichette

Dina Pichette

Treasurer

Dina started her career at General Dynamics with various accounting and operations roles. She transitioned to Russco in 1994 and has worked in several capacities throughout her tenure, including her current role as Treasurer, which also supports Internal Operations. Dina is a first-generation American originally from Hudson, MA, and earned her degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Massachusetts –Dartmouth. She enjoys traveling and is especially fond of spending time with her family in Martha’s Vineyard.

Zach Pichette

Vice President

Zach is a third-generation Russco employee who, like his father Matt and uncle Russ, grew up around the business with first-hand experiences. He joined the Company in 2014 and has held several roles during his tenure: Laborer, Superintendent, Assistant Project Manager, and Project Manager. While taking construction industry-related coursework at Roger Williams and New England Institute of Technology, Zach earned several technical certifications, including OSHA 30, and holds the Company’s RI contractor license. In his current role as Vice President, he oversees projects in his portfolio and works closely with Matt to understand and learn about overall Company operations. Zach grew up in the Fall River, MA, area, and outside of work, he likes to work on his cars, run, and work out at the gym.

Nick Smith

Nick Smith

Director, Construction

Nick Smith has an extensive trade background that started when he completed his union apprenticeship. After several years of applying those skills in the field, he transitioned to a management role at one of Russco’s key subcontractors and led their crews. This experience honed his ability to proactively engage with and support clients’ needs, serving as the foundation for his current role at Russco as Director, Construction. His cross-disciplinary engagement within the Company between estimating, project management, and internal operations, helps foster a collaborative work environment. Nick is from Raynham, MA, and enjoys staying busy outside of work by hiking, running, and other outdoor activities with his family.

Monica Shahali

Monica Shahali Bethala

Sr. Manager, Estimating

Monica joined Russco in 2019 as an Estimator and now leads the Estimating Team in all bids, as well as engaging with the Project Management Team in post-award vendor support. She is originally from Hyderabad, India, where she attended Saint Martin’s University and graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering. Monica went on to attend the University of North Carolina -Charlotte to earn her Master’s Degree in Construction Management. Monica enjoys traveling, hiking, and trying out new cuisines outside of work.

Mike Mastandrea - Director of Special Projects for Russco

Mike Mastandrea

Sr. Director, Special Projects

Mike has a broad construction background spanning various roles and disciplines. He is a first-generation American, born in Brooklyn, NY, attending and playing baseball at CUNY – Kingsborough. After moving to Florida, he completed his apprenticeship in the sheet metal and air conditioning union, and in 1993 transitioned to General Contractor side of the industry when he formed his own company. As Sr. Director, Special Projects, Mike oversees a portfolio of unique projects, and holds an active State of Florida Building Contractor license, along with NYC SST62 and OSHA 30 certifications. Mike lives in South West Florida where he enjoys golfing, watching baseball, and spending time with his family.
