Meet Melissa! Spotlight Interview with Russco's Bid Coordinator

Q: What is your current position at Russco?

A: Bid Coordinator

Q: How long have you worked for Russco?

A: Seems like forever! Just kidding…since Dec. 2014

Q: Can you recall the exact moment you knew you wanted to work in the construction industry?

A: Never knew I wanted to work in the construction industry until I started at Russco:)

Q: What would I find in your refrigerator right now?

A: Tequila , Bourbon, steak tips, and rice.

Q: What has been your biggest achievement at Russco?

A: Matt and Russ having the faith in me to attempt transitioning from Bid Coordinator to Estimator.

Q: A penguin walks through your office door right now wearing a sombrero. What does he say and why is he here?

A: A Mexican Penguin? A bit contradictory but he better be saying lets go grab some ice cold Corona Light and Tacos!!!

Q: Do you believe in the Lochness Monster?

A: I think that if it did exist modern technology would’ve proven it beyond a reasonable doubt by now but anything is possible.

Q: Russco offers you CEO for the day, what would you do?

A: Get windows that open in the office! Fresh air is good for the soul! Give myself my own office!

Q: What song best describes your work ethic?

A: Well the song that popped into my head is Working 9-5” By Dolly Parton.( You know you’re silently singing it!) Doesn’t really describe my work ethic though. I would describe myself as dedicated, honest and trustworthy. If there was a song that describes that then, that’s what it would be.

Q: What major evolutions do you foresee for the construction industry?

A: Just a lot more in the way of modern technology…less paper, and programs to streamline progress.

Q: Three things you can't live without - excluding people...

A: Blood, Brain, Heart

Q: What advice would you give a new Bid Coordinator starting with Russco?

A: Don’t be afraid to ask questions, take risks, and to go above and beyond what is expected of you. They do take notice and appreciate it.

Q: What’s your favorite tool?

 A: GOOGLE!...Google knows everything!

Q: Tell us something most people don’t know about you.

A: I can be shy and reserved when out of my element.

Great interview Melissa! We are excited to see more from you in the future. - Russco, Inc.
